What do people use social media for?

There are a plethora of different uses for social media. People use it in one of two ways, for personal use or for corporate use.

Its used to make contact with customers, friends, coworkers... the list goes on.

Events are launched and advertised on social media, as well as it being a way to sell things to people.

People use it to get themselves out there so that they are noticed and advertised.

It's another way in which people express opinions, most of which are personal to them.

However, people sometimes use this for worse rather than better. They use sites to press ideas on people and try to dominate minorities but there are people who combat this issue making it better for everyone else.

News is also put up on social media making people aware of the different situations going on in the country and the world however this can be biased and twisted which means it's more difficult to find the truth about a story.

Thus meaning we should take everything we read on news websites with a pinch of salt as it were.
